  • The Clarity COVID-19 IgG/IgM Antibody Test is an in vitro, rapid, qualitative immunoassay for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of IgG and IgM antibodies of COVID-19 in human serum, plasma or whole blood.
  • The Clarity COVID-19 IgG/IgM Antibody Test Is currently classified as CLIA Highly Complex and should only be used sold to and used by CLIA Highly complex facilities.
  • This test is only provided for use in laboratories or by healthcare workers at the point-of-care.
  • Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have been in contact with the virus. Follow-up testing with a molecular diagnostic should be considered to rule out infection in these individuals.
  • Results from antibody testing should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection or to inform infection status.
  • Positive results may be due to past or present infection with non-SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strains, such as coronavirus HKU1, NL63, OC43, or 229E.
  • Not for the screening of donated blood.

Test Results Interpretation

PositiveNegativeNegative  Patients may be in the "Window Period" of SARS-COV-2-Infection
Patient may be in the early stage if infection and the body's immune response first produced the antibody
IgM, but no IgG was produced of the IgG contect did no reach the detection limit of the Test
PositiveNegativePositive  Patient may be in the late or recurrent stage of infection
Patient is in the active phase of infection, but the human body has developed some immunity to
SARS-COV-2 (the persistent antibody IgG has been produced by the body)
Patient may be in the acute phase of SARS-COV-2 infection. At this time, nucleic acid test results need to be
considered (this scenario is a good example of PCR may be false negative)
Patient may have been infected with SARS-COV-2 in the past, but the patient has recovered or the virus in
  the body has been cleared.
Patient has recently been infected with SARS-COV-2 and is in the recovery stage or the nucleic acid test is a
false negative and the patient is in the active infection stage
