Each mL contains:
  • Oxytocin 20 U.S.P. units
  • Chlorobutanol (as a preservative) 5 mg
  • Acetic acid 0.25%
  • Water for injection q.s.
Indications:
  • For obstetrical use in horses, cows, sows and ewes. For milk letdown in cows and sows.
Dosage and Administration:
  • For intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous use.
For obstetrical use:
  • Horses and Cows 5 mL
  • Sows and Ewes 1.5 to 2.5 mL
  • For milk letdown:
  • Cows 0.5 to 1.0 mL
  • Sows 0.25 to 1.0 mL
Contraindications:
  • Do not use in dystocia due to the abnormal presentation of the fetus until correction is accomplished.
Precautions:
  • Avoid excessive exposure to heat.  Do not freeze.
Cautions:
  • Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
Presentation:
  • 30 mL (for sows and ewes) and 100 mL (for horses and cows) sterile, multiple dose vial
